Presented paper: “What’s So Spiritual about American Feminism? Biblical
Rhetoric and the Shaping of 19th-Century American Feminist Thought”
- My previous teaching and writing experiences have mostly been in the
non-profit sector with women’s organizations, except for two years in an
industrial setting and two years in an academic setting.
- 1993-Present: Monthly and quarterly administrative articles (approximately
200) in women’s leadership magazines and publications
- 1995-Present: Keynote speaker and/or trainer at state and national women’s
conferences and national collegiate conferences at approximately 200
events across the country. Topics developed and taught most frequently: how
to organize and grow women’s groups, writing vision/mission statements,
mentoring, joyful singleness, understanding the different adult generations
- 2001: Co-authored a curriculum book for use with college students
- 2000, 1999: Contributor to other administrative books for women’s groups
- 1998: Spoke on suffering in the world to an international audience of 7,500
youth and college students, Houston, Texas
- 1996: Wrote segments on women’s leadership and mentoring for a cassette
tape set
